Authorities in Thailand have arrested six people for attempting to smuggle dozens of animals out of the country, including a red panda, a parrot, snakes and lizards.
Thai Customs officials say six Indian nationals have been arrested in Bangkok for attempting to illegally remove 87 animals out of the country.
Thailand's Customs Department released an image showing a red panda, that was rescued after being found in the luggage of a group of Indian nationals attempting to travel to Mumbai, at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok
Other animals found in the luggage included a monitor lizard and a parrot, which was kept in a plastic container, and snakes coiled together in bags.
