Brexit will finally come into effect on January 31 next year, according to Queen Elizabeth II.
The monarch's speech on Thursday at the House of Parliament highlighted that Prime Minister Boris Johnson's "priority" is the UK's exit from the EU.
Johnson’s Conservative Party won an 80-strong majority in the 650-seat House of Commons last week on a pledge to “get Brexit done” and a promise to end years of public spending austerity.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has termed the timeline as “extremely challenging.”
