Pakistan on Tuesday announced its first death from coronavirus.
According to the health ministry, the victim had travelled to Iran recently.
So far, 195 people have tested positive in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, India closed the popular Taj Mahal and other protected monuments and museums to tourists to curb the spread of the virus and urged authorities in Mumbai to stamp "home quarantine" dates with indelible ink on confirmed cases.
Mumbai, which has 39 confirmed coronavirus cases, also ordered offices to keep half their staff at home.
The country also expanded its travel and visa restrictions on Monday, banning passengers travelling from member countries of the EU, the European Free Trade Association, Turkey and the UK.
