Oman's capital Muscat has been hit by a power blackout, among several other provinces, the Authority of Public Services Regulation said on Twitter on Monday.
The public services regulator said electricity will be restored gradually in about four hours.
They did not give any reasons for the outage.
Th outage is expected to affect operations at Muscat International Airport, Oman Airports said in a statement.
"Our concerned team... is currently dealing with the power outage affecting the vicinity of the airport," it added.
The Authority for Public Services Regulation said that parts of the main electricity network in the Sultanate of #Oman are facing partial blackout. Oman Electricity Transmission Company is currently handling this blackout and the electricity will be restored gradually.
