The captain of a ship that rescues migrants from sea has been arrested in Italy.
It comes after a two-week standoff with police.
Sea-Watch 3, which is skippered by Carola Rackete, was carrying more than 24 African migrants who were rescued off the coast of Libya.
The vessel entered the Italian port of Lampedusa on Friday despite being banned from docking by police.
Matteo Salvini, who is Italy’s far-right interior minister, has been taking a rigid stance opposing migrant rescue ships.
