In a statement sent to ARN News, a spokesperson for Zomato confirmed that the app will redirect customers to the Talabat app from November 24.
The food delivery service added that they have "renewed (their) focus on restaurant discovery and dining out", especially with "new features like Vibe check and additional offers via Zomato Pay".
Many of the restaurants already on the Zomato list will feature on Talabat, with eateries able to join the app to grow their businesses.
"We are well-positioned to support our people adequately and are here to enable this transition in the best way possible for their careers," their statement said, adding, "The severance package extended includes financial and outplacement support along with due healthcare benefits."
It's unclear how many workers will be impacted by this move.
