Sri Lanka could see a 30-50 per cent drop in tourist arrivals over the next two months, following the Easter Sunday bombings.

That’s according to the chairman of the country’s tourism development authority, who spoke to ARN News on the sidelines of Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.

Kishu Gomes told ARN News about some of the measures they are taking to revive the sector.

He added that they are hoping to welcome around 2 million visitors this year, compared to their earlier target of over 2.5 million.

Gomes also expressed confidence in the country's ability to bounce back from the latest crisis.
