Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has reported its financial results for the six months (H1) ending June 30, 2024, showing a 14 per cent year-on-year revenue growth to AED 1.09 billion.
The company achieved a 27 per cent increase in EBITDA, reaching AED 309.3 million. Revenue from the core taxi segment grew 12 per cent year-on-year to AED 939.0 million, it said in a statement.
The limousine segment saw a six per cent rise, reaching AED 61.7 million. DTC's taxis and limousines completed 23 million trips, up four per cent from the previous year.
The bus segment experienced a 26 per cent increase in revenue to AED 72.0 million, while the bike segment saw revenue grow nearly threefold.
DTC's CEO Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi stated, "We increased our taxi fleet by 294 vehicles compared to the previous year following the successful award of new taxi licences in Q1 2024, enabling us to further consolidate our market leadership to 45 per cent of Dubai's taxi market share."
