Emirates is expanding its cargo operations with a new facility to serve the pharmaceutical market. Nabil Sultan, the airline’s Senior Vice President for Cargo, told ARN’s Business Breakfast programme the venture could more than double the amount of pharma products the airline handles at present. Separately, Doha’s Hamed International recorded a 20 per cent increase in passenger traffic during first half of this year. The airport handled 18 million passengers in the six months to June 30th – Dubai International handled 41 million passengers during the same timeframe.
