The bulk of travellers came from India, the UK, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Total aircraft movements at the air hub fell by 2.4 per cent, while cargo volume fell by 3 per cent. The airport is undergoing extensive development costing billions of dirhams to enable it to accommodate more than 45 million passengers.
