A total of 2.83 million tax refund applications have been processed in the UAE.
According to the Federal Tax Authority, the average daily number of applications processed is 7,730 at the moment.
The number of self-service kiosks for refunding taxes has also grown by 55.2 per cent, with 45 kiosks located across the country and more than 12,000 outlets connected to the system.
The electronic system was launched in November 2018, making the UAE one of the first countries in the world to implement such a system.
