Updated DOLE Guidelines on the Provision of Financial Assistance for Displaced OFW due to COVID-19

The new DOLE Guidelines have new additional information on how and where should an OFW apply for AKAP. For those OFWs who submitted their application at POLO Dubai but now in the Philippines or about to return to the Philippines must apply online in the Philippines

Reminder from POLO Dubai that those who received already the DOLE AKAP from POLO DUBAI or from any OWWA Regional Office are disqualified to apply again for the DOLE AKAP ONE TIME FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.

REQUIREMENTS

For OFWs who were already repatriated prior to 30 November 2020

1 Accomplished Online Application Form ( https://dole-akap.owwa.gov.ph/ )

2 Passport or Travel Document;

3 Proof of overseas employment (i.e. valid verified overseas employment, OEC, residence I.D.s, visa/re-entry visa, among or permit to stay in the receiving country);

4 Proof of Loss of employment due to COVID-19 or undertaking/salaysay;

5 Proof of return to the Philippines (Boarding Pass or Air Ticket or Stamp Visa)

Stranded Balik-Manggagawa or Re-engaged Seafers whose deployment were suspended to COVID-19

1 Accomplished Online Application Form ( https://dole-akap.owwa.gov.ph/ )

2 Passport or Travel Document;

3 Proof of overseas employment (i.e. valid verified overseas employment, OEC, residence I.D.s, visa/re-entry visa, among or permit to stay in the receiving country);

4 Proof of Loss of employment due to COVID-19, or Certification of suspension of deployment from the Local Manning Agency or undertaking/salaysay;

5 Proof of return to the Philippines (Boarding Pass or Air Ticket or Stamp Visa)

OFWs Repatriation starting 30 November 2020

1 Accomplished Online Application Form ( https://dole-akap.owwa.gov.ph/ )

2 Passport or Travel Document;

3 Proof of overseas employment (i.e. valid verified overseas employment, OEC, residence I.D.s, visa/re-entry visa, among or permit to stay in the receiving country);

4 Proof of return to the Philippines (Boarding Pass or Air Ticket or Stamp Visa)”
