1) Kalayaan 2026 returns to the Dubai World Trade Centre on 7 June 2026
Kalayaan 2026 is recognised as the region’s biggest annual Philippine Independence Day event, once again transforming Halls 1 and 2 of the Dubai World Trade Centre into a vibrant showcase of Filipino culture, entertainment, creativity, food, music, family, and community pride — all with FREE ADMISSION for the public.
The event will feature spectacular performances from some of the Philippines’ most exciting artists and performers, alongside cultural showcases, interactive experiences, community activations, youth activities, food attractions, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the day.
2) 𝙉𝙀𝙒 𝙎𝘾𝙃𝙊𝙇𝘼𝙍𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙋𝙎 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙁𝙄𝙇𝙄𝙋𝙄𝙉𝙊 𝙈𝙀𝘿𝙄𝘾𝘼𝙇 𝙎𝙏𝙐𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙎 𝙄𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙐𝘼𝙀
The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce the availability of three scholarships for Filipino students residing in the UAE who aspire to pursue undergraduate or master’s degrees in medicine or other medical-related fields.
The scholarships, funded by the UAE Government, are honouring the memory of frontline workers from 14 nationalities who tragically lost their lives in the UAE during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Deadline for applications is 𝟎𝟏 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.
To be eligible, students must:
• Be a Filipino national
• Have an offer of admission from a UAE-based university to study Medicine or a
related medical field
• Reside in the UAE, or be expected to commence studies in September 2026
• Demonstrate strong academic performance and outstanding scholastic records
Applications will be assessed based on the following:
• Academic excellence
• Financial need
• Commitment to community service (including volunteer work or healthcare-
related involvement)
• Clear motivation to contribute to the healthcare sector (in the UAE or in the
Philippines)
The following documents are required:
• Passport copy
• Emirates ID copy
• Residence visa copy
• Professional passport-size photograph (white background)
• University offer letter (for those starting in September 2026)
• University enrolment certificate (for those currently studying in the UAE)
• Academic certificates and transcripts
• Personal Statement Letter detailing:
⁃ Career goals
⁃ Reasons for choosing the field of study
⁃ Personal circumstances
⁃ Justification for requiring scholarship support
