1) The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce the Tagalog Children’s Story Writing Contest in celebration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa, in line with this year’s theme:
“Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon”
The theme highlights the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) as a valuable tool for research, learning, creativity, and broader access to information.
Contest Mechanics
The contest is open to all nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates who are 18 years old and below.
Participants shall submit one (1) original children’s story written in Tagalog with an AI-generated illustration.
The submitted story must:
Promote Filipino values, culture, traditions, or meaningful life lessons;
Be appropriate for children below 12 years old; and
Not exceed 500 words.
Submission Period: 1–21 August 2026
Entries shall be submitted electronically to the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi through its official email address at auhpe@philembassy.ae.

2) The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, in partnership with Hayat Institute, is pleased to announce that new training schedules (August 21, 22, 28, and 29) for AGAP are now open following the full registration for the 31 July 2026 session. Conducted under the Dubai Heart Safe City Initiative, the program reflects the Filipino community’s strong commitment to emergency preparedness and public safety. AGAP equips participants with essential lifesaving knowledge and practical skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and the ASEFNI (Save Me) emergency application. “Every person trained through AGAP becomes a potential lifesaver at home, in the workplace, and across the wider community,” Consul General Ambrosio Brian F. Enciso III said. “We encourage our kababayan to take advantage of the newly opened schedules and help us build a safer, more responsive, and heart-safe Dubai.”
The training will be conducted at Hayat Institute, Oud Metha Dubai Healthcare City.

4) The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation warns against fake job offers and urges job seekers, whether they are within or outside the UAE, not to proceed with any steps before verifying the authenticity of their job offer.
The Ministry confirms that applicants must use the Ministry-approved job offer form, which carries a unique serial number (barcode), to verify its authenticity through the Ministry’s website, smart application, or Call Centre at 600590000.
Always ensure that your job offer is authentic before completing any recruitment procedures.
