DOLE Prescribing Guidelines on One-Time Financial Assistance For Displaced OFWs Due to COVID-19 - “DOLE-AKAP for OFWs”
POLO –Dubai will accept applications for the one time financial assistance of P10,000 or AED 730 for displaced OFWs on account of COVID-19.
Her are the informations on how to avail this financial assistance for OFWs called “DOLE-AKAP for OFWs”
WHO ARE ELIGIBLE OFWS
1 Workers must be either
A) Regular / Documented OFWs as defined in the 2016 Revised POEA Rules and Regulations, as follows
-Those who possess valid passport and appropriate visas or permits to stay and work in the receiving country, and
-Those contracts of employment have been processed by the POEA or the POLO or
B) Qualified undocumented OFWs, as follows
-Those who were originally regular or documented workers but for some reason or cause have lost their regular documented status
-Those whore not registered with the POEA or whose contracts were processed by the POEA or the POLO, but have undertaken actions to regularize their contract or status, or
-Those who are not registered by POEA or whose contracts were not processed by POEA or the POLO , but were active OWWA members by the time of availment.
2 Those who have experienced job displacement due to receiving country’s imposition of lockdown or community quarantine or having been infected by the disease, and
3 Must not receive any financial support / assistance from the receiving countries / employers
HERE ARE THE APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR THE ON-SITE OFWS ( Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Kaimah and Umm Al Quwain)
1 Accomplished application form for Special Cash Assistance (download form @ via www.polodubaiportal.org or https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EMEmdR24geBk4J07yfVw99r1AnLvLC9t/view
A) Submit the accomplished form with the following requirements throughthis link

B) Copy of valid passport with employment visa
C) Proof of overseas employment ( eg verified employment contract , OEC, valid OWWA membership, etc)
D) Proof of loss of employment on account of COVID-19 (termination letter or notice of termination due to COVID-19)
E) For OFWs who became undocumented through no fault of their own, proof that OFW is currently involved in ongoing case ( e.g case reference number or endorsement stamped by POLO, among others)
2 Upon receipt of the worker’s requirements, POLO shall evaluate the documents and shall notify the worker through email of the approval or disapproval of the application.
3 POLO shall release to the approved OFW the AED730.00 through bank transfer / money remittance
