Authorities in the UAE are reminding the public to wear masks only if they suffer from chronic diseases or flu symptoms.
It's based on the guidelines set by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as part of precautionary and preventive measures taken to curb the spread of COVID-19, the UAE Ministry of Interior explained.
The reminder comes after several residents reached out to the ministry about how to protect themselves and those around them.
Officials also urged the public to access regular updates from the country's official sources.
In a video posted earlier, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) issued a guideline on who should wear the N95 masks.
