Abu Dhabi is gearing up to welcome more than 1,000 high-level delegates and clean energy experts for a major summit on climate change.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will lead the power-packed lineup at the event, which will lay the groundwork for September’s UN climate summit in New York.
Topics under discussion include threats to human health as well as the economic benefits of tackling the issue.
Highlighting the importance of the event, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment said: "We are privileged to have the opportunity to showcase the work we are doing here in the UAE and to demonstrate our unequivocal commitment and proactive approach to climate action."
The Abu Dhabi Climate Meeting will take place on June 30 and July 1 at Emirates Palace.
