The UAE has announced a suite of consular services exclusively for Golden Visa holders, expanding support for them at home and abroad.
Announced at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, the initiative is a joint effort between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security.
The services include a digital return document for those who lose or damage their passports while overseas, a dedicated hotline, and 24/7 emergency assistance through MoFA’s call centre.
In a major policy shift, Golden Visa holders and their families will now receive the same emergency and crisis response support previously reserved for UAE nationals, including repatriation of remains in the event of death abroad.
Officials say the move strengthens the UAE’s position as a global hub for talent, investment, and innovation — offering peace of mind and practical support to residents contributing to the nation’s progress and sustainable development.
