The UAE is the happiest country in the Arab region for the fifth consecutive year, while it’s ranked 21st worldwide.
That’s according to the latest World Happiness Report by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), which says expats rate life in the Emirates as happier than that in their home countries.
It also praises the UAE for having a happiness and wellbeing policy on its national agenda.
The report ranks countries on six key variables that support well-being - income, freedom, trust, healthy life expectancy, social support and generosity.
Finland tops the overall list, with fellow Scandinavian nations Denmark, Norway and Iceland making up the top four.
