UAE citizens and residents have continued to contribute to the "Tarahum for Gaza" campaign, with up to 10,100 volunteers taking part over the weekend.
As many as 25,000 urgent relief packages were prepared through events organised in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, with more than 550 tonnes of relief material collected.
Up to 120 tonnes of humanitarian aid, including food supplies and other essentials, was sent to the Egyptian city of el-Arish, to be transported to Gaza.
The campaign is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority and the World Food Programme, and in coordination with the Ministry of Community Development.
A total of 20 charitable and humanitarian institutions, and national volunteer platforms, are participating in the campaign.
It's part of the UAE’s efforts to support and provide relief to the Palestinian people, especially the most vulnerable groups, and alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis they face.
