H.H. Sheikh Mohammed announces UAE cabinet reshuffle

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced a cabinet reshuffle in the federal government on Tuesday.

His Highness said the changes were made in consultation with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The new appointments have been announced in a series of tweets.

Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei is the new Minister of Community Development in the UAE.

His Excellency Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi is the new Minister of Culture and Youth in the country. He is the UAE's delegate to UNESCO and a graduate of the Leadership Programme.

Her Excellency Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, has been appointed Minister of State in the UAE government.

According to Sheikh Mohammed, Maryam led distinguished efforts during the last period in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in following up all-new developmental governmental legislation. 

His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama has been appointed Director General of the Prime Minister's Office in addition to his current duties as Minister of Artificial Intelligence.

Meanwhile, His Excellency Abdullah Nasser Lootah has been appointed Chairman of the Competitiveness Council and in charge of the government knowledge exchange programme.

Her Excellency Hessa Bu Hamid and Her Excellency Noura Al Kaabi are the new Ministers of State in the federal government.
