His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has issued directives to dispatch emergency teams to support rescue operations in areas hit by torrential rain and floods.
The Ministry of Interior has been instructed to mobilise its teams in various emirates for the rescue operations, especially in Fujairah and the eastern regions that have been heavily affected.

Sheikh Mohammed also directed the Ministry of Community Development to move families affected by rains and floods in the eastern region to makeshift shelters.
Nearby hotels are to be reserved for affected families and for those living in high-risk areas.
