The UAE Cabinet, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the formation of a National Media Team.
It has been established with the aim of developing a renewed strategic vision for the Emirati media, and will operate under the chairmanship of the UAE Government Media Office.
The Team includes the heads of prominent media outlets in the UAE:
The Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Media Office; the Director-General of the Dubai Government Media Office, the Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, the Executive Director of the Emirates News Agency, CEO of Radio and TV – Dubai Media Incorporated, the General Manager of the Arabian Radio Network (ARN), the General Manager of Abu Dhabi Media, the Editor-in-Chief of Al Ittihad newspaper, the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Bayan newspaper, the Editor-in-Chief of Emarat Al Youm, the Editor-in-Chief of Al Khaleej newspaper, the Editor-in-Chief of The National newspaper, the Editor-in-Chief of Khaleej Times, the Editor-in-Chief of Al Roeya newspaper, and the Editor-in-Chief of Gulf News.
