Emirates Airline has resumed passenger flight services to three cities in Pakistan.

In a statement, the airline said services to and from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad have resumed after they received “relevant government approvals”.

All passengers are now required to carry a negative COVID-19 report from an approved laboratory issued within 96 hours of the journey.

"Emirates has put in place a comprehensive set of measures at every step of the customer journey on the ground and in the air to minimise the risk of infection spread," the airline added in their statement.

The temporary suspension was implemented last week after some passengers who travelled from Pakistan to Hong Kong, via Dubai, tested positive for COVID-19.
