Emirates has announced delays and cancellations to flights to and from Mauritius due to tropical cyclone Belal.
In an alert posted on its official website, the Dubai carrier said it is monitoring the situation and will give customers as much notice as possible if there are any further changes.
So far, flights EK 701, 702, 703, and 704 have been impacted.
It said flight EK 703 from Dubai to Mauritius, which was scheduled to take-off on January 15, has been delayed by 27 hours, and will now depart on January 16 at 1:30 pm (local time).
Meanwhile, flight EK 704 from Mauritius to Dubai also recorded a 21-hour delay, and has been rescheduled to depart on January 16 at 8:00 pm (local time).
In addition, flights EK 701 and 702 have been cancelled.
Emirates has apologised for the inconvenience caused and advised affected customers to reach out to Emirates' local office and travel agents for rebooking options.
Passengers have also been urged to update their contact details to get regular updates.

- Flight EK 704 from Mauritius to Dubai on January 15 is delayed by 21 hours. The rescheduled departure from Mauritius is set for 16 January at 20:00 local time, with an expected arrival in Dubai on 17 January at 2:35 local time.
- Flight EK 701 from Dubai to Mauritius on January 16 has been cancelled.
- Flight EK 702 from Mauritius to Dubai on January 16 has been cancelled.
