Dubai Police have unveiled a "Luxurious Marine Patrol" at GITEX Global that's designed specifically to respond quickly and efficiently to emergency marine incidents.
The new floating vehicle has a top speed of 45 knots per hour, can accommodate two passengers and will patrol water channels, lakes, islands and other tourist hotspots.
The vehicle is powered by a four-speed engine with an 1800 cc capacity and weighs a total of 320kgs and has a maximum weight limit of 625kgs - enough for two passengers.
Brigadier Dr Hassan Suhail Al Suwaidi, Director of the Ports Police Station, said the car will aid Dubai Police when it comes to dealing with marine emergencies.
“It significantly contributes to the rescue efforts carried out by marine security and rescue teams due to its swift response capabilities, underscoring its vital role in saving lives,” he said.
Brigadier Al Suwaidi highlighted that the patrol would be deployed in water channels, lake areas, islands, and tourist spots.
“This deployment ensures constant readiness to address various marine reports and emergencies around the clock,” he added.
Dubai Police are set to present several new innovations, all featuring modern technology, at this year's GITEX Global.
