Dubai Humanitarian sends fourth aid airlift to support Ebola response

Dubai Humanitarian has sent a fourth relief shipment to Uganda to support efforts to contain the Ebola outbreak.

The mission follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The latest shipment, carried on a Dubai Royal Air Wing aircraft, delivered 72.5 tonnes of emergency supplies to Entebbe, bound for communities across the border.

The aid, provided by the World Food Programme and UNICEF, includes water purification tablets, generators, shelters, medical storage units and equipment to help keep vaccines at the correct temperature, as well as an ablution unit to maintain hygiene standards.

Dubai Humanitarian's CEO Giuseppe Saba said the airlift reflects the UAE's continued commitment to ensuring lifesaving supplies reach those who need them most.

"The United Arab Emirates and the Government of Dubai have made sure that when our partners need to move relief, they can, and that is exactly what a response to an outbreak like this demands," he added.

Since the start of 2026, Dubai Humanitarian has coordinated nine air and land relief missions, delivering more than 450 tonnes of aid to communities in Gaza, Lebanon, Mozambique, Afghanistan and other regions.
