It was an emotional reunion for nine-year-old Luca Alexander Summers and his mother after COVID-19 travel restrictions kept them apart for nearly two months.
'We are very excited to have my family back together again," said Lindsey Summers, who has been living in Dubai for nearly 20 years. "I would like to thank the UAE government for every thing they have done for us."
She had flown to Sydney with Luca, only to return alone as he stayed back for a 10-day holiday with her family.
Luca expressed his happiness at returning home to his parents.
''Thank you UAE government for trying hard to bring me back. I am very happy,'' he said after receiving a special welcome at the airport.
