Marcel Kittel produced a stunning sprint finish to win Stage 1 of the 2016 Dubai Tour. The powerful German, riding for new team Etixx Quick-Step, edged out sprint rival and defending champion Mark Cavendish in a time of 3 hours 35 minutes and 21 seconds. The victory was Kittel’s fourth stage win in the Dubai Tour after his hat-trick of successes in 2014.
