Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) kept their playoff hopes alive in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a three-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals in Sharjah on Tuesday.
KKR restricted their opponents to 127 for nine in the allotted 20 overs and then reached the target with 10 balls remaining.
Nitish Rana struck an unbeaten 36 (27 balls) and Sunil Narine hit 21 off 10 balls to tilt the game in Kolkata's favour.
Only Steve Smith (39) and skipper Rishabh Pant (39) managed to cross the 30-run mark for Delhi Capitals.
Narine (2-18) and Lockie Ferguson (2-10) were the picks of KKR's bowlers, while Avesh Khan took 3-13 for Delhi.
KKR consolidated their fourth spot in the table with 10 points, while Delhi remain second with 16 points.
