Iran forward Sardar Azmoun has joined Shabab Al-Ahli from Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, the Emirates Pro League side said on Monday.
"Shabab Al-Ahli is the best" the 29-year-old said in a video posted by his new club on X.
Azmoun joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2022 from Zenit St Petersburg and spent the last season on loan at AS Roma, playing 23 Serie A matches and scoring three goals.
Shabab Al-Ahli, who finished second in the Emirates Pro League to Al-Wasl, are aiming to reach the main stage of the AFC Champions League as they face Iranian side Sepahan in the preliminary round.
