European Team Captain, Darren Clarke, has tipped Dubai to host the Ryder Cup in the future. The Northern Irishman, who will captain the side in 2016 at Hazeltine Golf Club in the USA, was speaking during the Audemars Piguet’s Golf invitational at the Els Club. Having been in Dubai to witness the conclusion of the 2015 Race to Dubai, Clarke, along with European Tour golfers such as Danny Willett, Lee Westwood and Henrik Stenson, was enjoying a more relaxed round at the 18-hole championship course within Dubai Sports City, as Audemars Piguet also announced their new partnership with Els as the club’s official timekeeper. Clarke praised the facilities in Dubai, and explained why it could be ‘favoured’ by the European Tour in the future.
