Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled a smart assessment system to monitor cycling and e-scooter tracks.
Using advanced cameras and sensors mounted on electric bikes, the system provides precise, real-time evaluations of track conditions without disrupting users.
This technology enhances safety, improves the experience for sustainable mobility users, and supports Dubai’s Sustainable Mobility Vision 2030.
The system offers a major leap in efficiency, assessing 120 km of tracks in just four hours, compared to the 2.25 km covered by traditional methods daily.
It also boosts maintenance efforts, reducing costs and improving sustainability.
With the ability to assess 557 km of tracks in one month, the new system is a major step forward in track management and resource efficiency.
