The UAE has welcomed the announcement of a framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel, praising the diplomatic efforts of US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in helping secure the deal.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it hopes the agreement will help promote regional stability and stressed the need for continued international coordination to prevent further escalation and reduce humanitarian and security risks.
The UAE also reaffirmed its support for Lebanon during this critical period, backing efforts to ensure weapons remain under state control and to dismantle terrorist organisations.
The ministry added that the UAE remains committed to Lebanon's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, while supporting the Lebanese people's aspirations for security, stability, development and prosperity.
