UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have held a phone call to discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in economic and development sectors.
The talks also focused on advancing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to support long-term growth and prosperity for both countries.
The two leaders also exchanged views on developments in the Middle East and their wider implications for regional and global peace and security, including impacts on maritime safety, energy supplies and the economy.
During the call, Zelenskyy reiterated Ukraine’s condemnation of the recent Iranian attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE, describing them as a violation of sovereignty and international law.
He also expressed appreciation to the UAE President for ongoing mediation efforts between Ukraine and Russia on prisoner exchanges, highlighting their humanitarian importance and success.
