United Arab Emirates President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa who is on a working state visit.
During the meeting they discussed developmental and economic aspects of their relationship, in a way that serves their mutual interests and benefits their people.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional issues and topics of common interest, most notably the developments in the Middle East region and their repercussions on regional and international peace and security, as well as their impact on international maritime security and the global economy.
The Syrian President reiterated his condemnation of the Iranian attacks that targeted civilians, facilities and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and countries of the region, which constitute a violation of the sovereignty of these countries, international laws and norms and undermine regional security and stability.
