The UAE has strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, expressing concern over its repercussions on regional security and stability.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) emphasised the need for global efforts to prevent further loss of life and stressed the importance of providing full protection to civilians in accordance with international law and treaties.
Israel attacked Lebanon on Wednesday killing more than 250 people, wounding over 1,100 more and putting the US-Iran ceasefire into jeopardy.
The ministry reaffirmed that the UAE stands in solidarity with Lebanon, emphasising its commitment to support the country's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Furthermore, the ministry reiterated the UAE's rejection of any escalation that further increase the risks of instability in the region, emphasising the need to resolve disputes through diplomatic means.
