The UAE rescue team has successfully completed its humanitarian operations in Afghanistan to support those affected by the earthquake that struck the northern parts of the country.
The field efforts were accompanied by a total dispatch of eight planes loaded with more than 394 tonnes of humanitarian aid, including food baskets and tents from the UAE, contributing to alleviating the suffering of thousands of afflicted families.
Families affected by the earthquake in northern Afghanistan expressed their deep gratitude for the UAE’s humanitarian role, stressing that it had a direct and tangible impact in mitigating the effects of the disaster and providing necessary support to the affected families.
This recognition reflects the noble values of solidarity established by the founding father, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
