UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 735 prisoners ahead of the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
Sheikh Mohamed will also settle the fines and penalties imposed on these inmates, who have been serving jail terms for various offences.
The humanitarian gesture is aimed at giving the individuals an opportunity to start a new life and easing the suffering of their families.
