The UAE has expressed its condolences and solidarity with South Korea following severe floods and torrential rains that resulted in multiple fatalities.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of South Korea in light of the tragedy.
More than 5,000 people have been forced into shelters as heavy rain battered parts of the country for a third consecutive day on Friday, leaving at least four people dead and causing significant damage to property and infrastructure.
Torrential rain warnings remain in effect for most western and southern regions of the country, and the national weather agency has advised the public to exercise extreme caution due to the risk of landslides and further flooding through Saturday.
