The UAE's Ministry of Interior is reminding motorists to take precautions against car fires and other heat related impact on vehicles during the summer months.
Drivers are advised against leaving the engine running for too long when not in use and to make sure there are no flammable materials inside the car.
Parents must also ensure that children are never left unattended in vehicles.
The advisory comes as part of the ministry's 'Summer without Accidents' campaign, which also emphasises the importance of carrying out regular vehicle maintenance to prevent heat-related breakdowns.
