The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the exchange of 180 prisoners between Russia and Ukraine following mediation efforts by the UAE.
It's the fifth prisoner swap between the two countries since the beginning of the year, with the Ministry saying the it's the outcome of the UAE's distinct ties and partnership with both sides.

The Ministry expressed its appreciation to the governments of Russia and Ukraine for their cooperation in making the exchange a success.
It also reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to finding a peaceful solution to the conflict, stressing the importance of resorting to dialogue, de-escalation, and diplomacy, as the only ways to resolve it, while mitigating humanitarian repercussions.
