UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on Wednesday, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
The leaders held discussions reflecting the close ties between the UAE and Bahrain and the longstanding relationship between the two countries and their people.
They reviewed bilateral relations and cooperation, reaffirming their shared commitment to further strengthening ties in ways that support development priorities, mutual interests and the prosperity of both nations.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by senior UAE and Bahraini officials, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander.
