The UAE Year Of Award has been launched to honour individuals and institutions who create meaningful impact and strengthen a culture of community action to make each annual "UAE Year Of" theme into a lasting national legacy.
It follows the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The inaugural edition of the award will be done in collaboration with the Ministry of Family, in line with the Year Of Family theme.
Every year, the award will have five categories - Main Award, Collective Contribution, Government Champion, Private Sector Champion, and Civil Sector Champion. It will be presented, every year, during the UAE Government Annual Meetings.
The award will be based on three pillars - sustainability, impact and inspiration - honouring impactful initiatives and stories, and celebrating inspiring role models, thereby fostering a culture of community contribution.
The UAE Year Of initiative is overseen by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects.
Families are invited to submit their inspiring stories, while organisations can register their impactful initiatives through the official UAE Year Of website - www.uaeyearof.ae - until September 10.
