The UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has held talks with senior US officials on the latest security situation in the Middle East.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Washington DC, where he met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and White House National Security Advisor John Bolton.
Their discussions focused on countering extremism, resolving the conflict in Yemen and strengthening regional security.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed America’s support in confronting the Houthi rebels as well as the terrorist group AQAP in Yemen.
He also reaffirmed the need for a political solution to the conflict in Yemen.
