The UAE has expressed its solidarity with Jordan following an accident involving military aid trucks that were heading to the Gaza Strip.
At least two soldiers were killed and two others injured in the incident which took place on Sunday.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed his condolences to the government and people of Jordan, and to the families of the victims.
He commended the efforts of Jordan in supporting Palestinians and the people of Gaza in confronting difficult humanitarian conditions.
Sheikh Abdullah also reaffirmed the UAE's position on intensifying international efforts to facilitate the safe and unhindered delivery of critical aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip.
