The United Arab Emirates expressed its solidarity with Ethiopia regarding the victims of the floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in the Gamo region in the south of the country this week.
According to Reuters, at least 70 people have lost their lives, while around 50 people remain missing.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement that the UAE expresses its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims, and to the government and friendly people of Ethiopia in this tragic event.
