Twenty-eight million meals have been distributed in Palestine as part of the UAE's '100 Million Meals campaign'.
More than 310,000 people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip have benefitted from the humanitarian drive, which was implemented by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) in cooperation with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).
Instant e-vouchers worth $2 million were given to some 103,000 people across the West Bank.
More than 207,385 people across Gaza Strip’s five governorates also benefitted from the scheme.
Sara Al Nuaimi, Director at the MBRGI, said the campaign was able to reach tens of thousands of families despite logistical complications.
The '100 Million Meals' campaign, which was launched during Ramadan, focuses on refugees and impoverished people across four continents.
It concluded in May after raising funds for 216 million meals, which is more than double the targetted donations.
