Shisha cafes in Ajman are set to reopen on Sunday, August 9, as long as they comply with the government's precautionary measures.
The Ajman municipality announced the go-ahead on their official social media handle, with operators asked to maintain strict hygiene standards and enforce physical distancing rules.
Only disposable shisha hoses can be used, with reusable parts thoroughly disinfected after every client.
It's also mandatory for staff and guests to go through temperature checks, while every establishment must have a dedicated isolation room to handle suspected COVID-19 cases.
The authorities will also conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety guidelines are being followed.
