His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and UAE National Security Adviser, has wrapped up an official visit to Washington DC, where he met with US President Donald Trump and several top officials and business leaders.
During his visit, Sheikh Tahnoon was hosted by Trump for a dinner at the White House, with high-ranking US officials also in attendance.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen the UAE-US strategic partnership, with a focus on investment opportunities in sectors such as artificial intelligence, advanced technology, energy, and healthcare.
Sheikh Tahnoon also held meetings with key figures, including US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and Special Advisor on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Currencies David Sacks.
These talks centered on boosting economic ties, fostering mutual investments and collaborating on regional stability.
While in Washington, Sheikh Tahnoon met with global business leaders, exploring joint investment opportunities, particularly in AI and emerging technologies. Notable agreements were made, including Nvidia and xAI joining the 'AI Infrastructure Partnership' to advance artificial intelligence.
Additionally, the Abu Dhabi investment group ADQ, and Energy Capital Partners announced a $25 billion joint venture in the US to focus on new energy projects.
Another agreement saw the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Enablement partner with Microsoft and Core42 to implement a sovereign cloud system to enhance digital services for the government.
With investments totalling $1 trillion, the UAE continues to be a leading investor in the United States, spanning sectors like trade, aviation, energy and AI.
Sheikh Tahnoon was accompanied by a delegation of government officials and private sector representatives during the visit.
